Confirmation

Confirmation

In the sacrament of Confirmation, we are strengthened by the outpouring of the Holy Spirit to more fully “bear witness to the Christian faith in words accompanied by deeds.” CCC#1316

The Sacrament of Confirmation is typically received when a child is in the 8th grade.

In order to be enrolled in this process, students must have been baptized, received their First Communion, and have been an active member of 7th grade religious education or have attended Catholic school in 7th grade.

The parents or guardians of any student who desires to enter this sacramental preparation program who are not baptized and/or have not had previous formal faith formation should contact the Coordinator of Religious Education for more information.

If your child is enrolled in 7th Grade at Ascension School, St. Albert School, or Religious Education at St. Albert the Great, you will be contacted automatically in late April by the Religious Education Office to register your student for Confirmation preparation.
